The Queenly Kind

Not when it comes to injustice. Not when it comes to showing up for people. For over a decade, I built and managed brands in the corporate world — polished, profitable, forgettable. Then one day it hit me: Is that all there is? (Cue Peggy Lee, break out the smoke and mirrors.) So I burned the boredom down and built something with a pulse.

The Queenly Kind was born from creative restlessness and social rage — a refusal to keep making things that didn’t mean anything. The mission is simple and unapologetic: spread kindness, on purpose, out loud, everywhere.
It started small (it’s still small) — illustrations, bold color, clean shapes, messages that hit you right in the chest. Then it grew teeth. Now it’s a movement disguised as art, a vehicle built to carry kindness into the world one random act at a time.

This isn’t a brand. It’s a stand.

PROJECTING FUTURES AT SD DESIGN WEEK

Do What You Love

The Queenly Kind was selected to participate in the 2024 WDC San Diego Design Week, Projecting Futures. Developed in partnership with local designers, projected onto the façade of the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park. I never imagined having the honor of spreading visual messages of love at one of the most iconic buildings in San Diego.

Give advice that comes straight from the heart.

As part of AIGA, I was invited to meet a group of Orange Glen High School new grads. Following The Queenly Kind mission, here’s what I had to offer:

1. If you haven’t figured it out yet, that’s okay: Take your time in finding your true calling.

2. Kindness is free; be of service: Being kind to your peers, neighbors, and strangers can be an easy way to contribute to a better community.

3. Stay creative, feed your inner muse: Pay attention to what moves you, and follow the path of inspiration.

Together, let’s create and amplify our voices.

Let’s do good work and lead with positivity— drop me a line so we can explore common missions and future collaborations.
